Rationalization is an anti-education, anti-employment step of the BJP government, Congress will protest in the entire state – Mohan Markam
With the closure of more than 10 thousand schools, posts like cook, chowkidar, peon and employment opportunities of thousands of people will end…
Today a press conference was organized at the division headquarters Rajiv Bhawan Jagdalpur, which was addressed by the in-charge of this press conference and former minister of Chhattisgarh state Mohan Markam.. While talking to journalists, Mr. Mohan Markam said that the BJP government is going to close more than 10 thousand schools and is ending the posts of more than 45000 teachers. Due to this decision of the government, there will be a shortage of schools in remote areas of the state, especially in places like Bastar, Surguja, Jashpur, the government is lying that schools will not be closed. BJP had promised to recruit 57000 teachers in the assembly elections. After the formation of the government, 33000 teacher recruitments were announced, this year in the budget also 20000 teachers recruitment has been talked about, now 5000 teacher recruitments have been announced, but to avoid these teacher recruitments, 45000 teacher posts are being abolished. When the posts are not vacant, then from where will the recruitment be done?
Former minister Mohan Markam said that rationalization by the BJP government is an anti-education, anti-employment step. Due to the closure of 10 thousand schools, posts like cook, watchman, peon will also be abolished and employment opportunities of thousands of people will end. Closure of 10 thousand schools is the failure of the government. While liquor shops are opening and schools are closing. The government should recruit new teachers. The quality of education has become weak in this government. This government has completely ruined the education system.
Addressing the press conference, Shri Mohan Markam said that the government is rationalizing the teachers so that new recruitments of teachers are not required. The government has hatched a conspiracy to destroy the government education system. The biggest loss due to this decision of the government will be on the children studying in the tribal areas of Bastar and Surguja. In the new setup, considering the HM as a teaching post in primary and middle schools, one education setup has been declared for 30 children in primary and 35 children in middle. In primary schools, there are a total of 18 subjects, with three subjects each in first and second and four subjects each in third, fourth and fifth, which at present have to be taught by three teachers for 6 classes of 40 minutes each. Now, after the new rationalization rules, how will it be possible for only two teachers to teach 18 classes? In middle schools, there are three classes and 6 subjects, so how will the HM and a single teacher be able to take 18 classes with a total of 18 classes and 60 students? Apart from this, the responsibility of arranging mid-day meals, replying to mail and other non-teaching tasks will also rest with them. With the forced closure of schools, not only teachers but thousands of cooks, sleepers, mid-day meal cooks and sisters of self-help groups attached to those schools will face a livelihood crisis. It is certain that the level of education will be adversely affected. Even before this, during the Raman government, 3000 schools were closed, which were reopened after the Congress government was formed. Before taking such a big impractical decision, the BJP government neither discussed with the affected class, nor thought about the future of the state. According to government data, more than 58000 teacher posts are vacant in the state, hundreds of teachers are retiring every month, promotion of teachers is stopped for many years, not a single teacher has been recruited after the formation of BJP government in the state. Rationalization will also break the dream of youth to become teachers. Under the Shiksha Nyay Andolan, the Congress Party will protest against the BJP government in 4 phases across the state from June 5 to July 10 for the closure of 10463 schools, endangering the future of education candidates, endangering the jobs and promotions of thousands of teachers and non-teaching staff…
