BEO Jagdalpur suspended with immediate effect due to negligence in duty

Jagdalpur, 06 June 2025/ On the basis of approval of Commissioner Bastar Division Shri Doman Singh, Block Education Officer Jagdalpur Shri MS Bhardwaj has been suspended with immediate effect by the in-charge Collector Shri Prateek Jain due to serious negligence in duty. In the order issued in the said context, it has been said that as per the instructions of the State Government, the process of rationalization is in process in Bastar district, in which the Block Education Officer Jagdalpur Shri Mansingh Bhardwaj presented discrepant information from Block Jagdalpur to the District Level Committee for rationalization. Under which, in Government Higher Secondary School Nagarnar, information was presented considering the junior teacher as senior and the senior teacher as junior. Also, SEZES Higher Secondary School Vivekanand Jagdalpur (Hindi medium) is a school of E cadre, which was informed about the vacant post in both T cadre and E cadre by the concerned. At the same time, in the block level information related to rationalization, highly erroneous information was presented in the determination of seniority. Along with this, discrepant information of sanctioned and vacant posts was presented to the district level committee for rationalization. The action taken by the concerned BEO as per above is against the guidelines prescribed by the state government and rule (I, II, III) of Chhattisgarh Civil Services Conduct Rules 1965. Therefore, under Rule 9 (1) (a) of Chhattisgarh Civil Services Classification, Control and Appeal Rules 1966, Block Education Officer, Block Jagdalpur (original post Principal) Shri Mansingh Bhardwaj is suspended with immediate effect. During the suspension period, the headquarter office of Shri Mansingh Bhardwaj is fixed as District Education Officer, Jagdalpur, District Bastar. During the suspension period, the concerned person will be eligible for subsistence allowance as per rules. This order will be effective immediately.
