Action will be taken against those who encroach Dalpat Sagar – Sanjay Pandey
To stop encroachment in Dalpat Sagar, Dalpat Sagar was inspected by the Speaker, MIC members and councilors under the leadership of Mayor Sanjay Pandey. During the inspection, Tehsil officials including RI, Patwari were present. It is known that the size of Dalpat Sagar is getting smaller, to stop it, the Municipal Corporation team reached to investigate under the leadership of the Mayor.
Efforts are being made by the Municipal Corporation to remove encroachment and beautify Dalpat Sagar. Dalpat Sagar is a historical pond of Jagdalpur which has been a victim of neglect for the last few years. The problem of water hyacinth has increased in Dalpat Sagar. Efforts are on to remove encroachment and bring the pond to its original form. It was revealed that some unknown person had encroached the Dalpat Sagar area by dumping debris from one side, in which an attempt is being made to reduce the area of Dalpat Sagar. Mayor Sanjay Pandey said that the conservation and promotion of Dalpat Sagar is our responsibility. Strict action will be taken against those who encroach. Dalpat Sagar is our heritage, it is our responsibility to save it. Strictest action will be taken against those who encroach Dalpat Sagar.
Along with Mayor Sanjay Pandey, Speaker Khemsingh Devangan, MIC member Nirmal Panigrahi, Laxman Jha, Suresh Gupta, Sangram Singh Rana, Sanjay Vishwakarma, Naveen Bothra, Kuber Devangan, Gopal Bhardwaj, Dipanshu, RI, Patwari and corporation and revenue staff were present.
