9 arrested in doctor’s suicide case, he had committed suicide after his pornographic video went viral
Durg police has arrested 9 accused in the case of an Ayurvedic doctor committing suicide by hanging himself in Bhilai’s Cantonment police station area. All the accused are residents of Kanker district of Chhattisgarh.
Ayurvedic doctor B.K. Rathore committed suicide after his pornographic video with a girl went viral. The doctor had mentioned several names in his suicide note. Action was taken after their role came to light in the police investigation. It has been said that 3 to 4 more people will be arrested in the case.
Revealing the doctor’s death, Additional SP Durg Bhilai (city) Sukhnandan Rathore and CSP Cantonment Harish Patil said that Dr Rathore used to meet a girl from Charama village of Kanker district in Tata Line of Bhilai often. He also had a relationship with her. Some people in the village did not like this and to expose the doctor, they made a video of their intimate relationship through the ventilation installed above the room.
The accused showed this video to the people of the village, after which a social meeting was called in the village itself. In this, the doctor was called and a penalty of Rs 5 lakh was demanded, but the doctor refused to pay the money. Meanwhile, someone made that obscene video viral. The next day, the news of the viral video spread from local media to newspaper headlines.
Ashamed by all this, the doctor came to his relative’s house in Bhilai and committed suicide. CSP Harish Patil told that after coming from Charaama, Doctor Rathore tried to commit suicide by injecting extra dose at home, but the family members brought him to the hospital and he survived. But after going back home, he reached his nephew’s house in Tata Line of the cantonment and hanged himself here late at night. CSP Patil said that the Cantonment Police has also seized the mobile phones of the accused from which this entire video was made and made viral.
