Breaking News Today: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the G-7 summit in Canada on Tuesday after his Cyprus visit. ED has issued a new summons to Robert Vadra in the money laundering case.

PM Modi in G-7 Meet: Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed at Calgary International Airport in Canada on Tuesday to attend the G-7 conference. He has arrived to attend the G7 Summit being held in Kananaskis village of Alberta. This visit is also special because Prime Minister Modi has visited Canada for the first time since 2015. His visit is taking place on the official invitation of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
G7 i.e. ‘Group of Seven’, this two-day summit of the world’s seven most developed economies has started on Monday. Important issues like global economy, climate crisis, Ukraine war, technological security and cooperation with the global south are to be discussed in it.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement from New Delhi, ‘At the summit, the Prime Minister will talk with the leaders of the G-7 countries, other invited outreach countries and heads of international organizations on important global issues including energy security, technology and innovation, especially AI-energy relations and quantum-related issues.’ During the G-7 meeting, Prime Minister Modi will meet Canada’s new Prime Minister Mark Carney for the first time.
Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a new summons to Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s businessman husband Robert Vadra for questioning in the money laundering case related to UK-based arms consultant Sanjay Bhandari. According to official sources, he has been asked to appear before the central investigating agency on Tuesday, June 17, to record his statement in this case. This case is being investigated under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Robert Vadra was also supposed to appear before the ED on June 10, but he did not appear.
