Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai was addressing the program today after distributing incentives of Rs 2 lakh each to 31 meritorious children of registered workers who secured top 10 positions in class 10th and 12th under the Chief Minister Noni Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana organized at the New Circuit House in the capital Raipur. During this, the Chief Minister transferred assistance amount of more than Rs 19.71 crore directly to the bank accounts of 38 thousand 200 construction workers of the state registered in Chhattisgarh Bhawan and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board under various schemes.

While congratulating the meritorious children of Shramveers who achieved excellent results in the 10th and 12th examinations, the Chief Minister said that our government understands the needs of the labor families very well and is working dedicatedly for their overall welfare. He said that today if a child of a labor family wants to study abroad, then a provision of assistance of up to Rs 50 lakh has been made by the Labor Department for that too. Mr. Sai said that we are keeping pace with innovation and making such policies which provide maximum employment to the youth of the state. Referring to the attractive industry policy of the state, he said that till now the state government has received investment proposals of more than Rs 5 lakh crore, which will create employment opportunities on a large scale.

Sharing his experiences as Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Labor, Mr. Sai said that I have a special affection for the workers and working in the interest of the workers always gives satisfaction.

The Chief Minister said that I was given the responsibility of the Ministry of Labor for two years in the first term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and as Minister of State for Labor under his leadership, we took many historic steps towards the pension reform of the workers and ensured the minimum pension amount. He said that our Prime Minister is sensitive towards the workers and on his instructions, we had also taken a big decision during this period to use the unclaimed amount of about Rs 27 thousand crore lying in the Provident Fund (PF) of the workers for years in their interest. As a Minister of State, our government started the Universal PF Number, which solved the problem of workers repeatedly claiming PF amount.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister urged everyone to make the information of the schemes being run by the Labor Department reach other needy people, so that more and more workers can take advantage of them. Along with providing hot and nutritious food to the workers, he also shared information about other welfare schemes being run in the state.

Industry Minister Lakhan Lal Devangan said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the state is moving forward in the direction of all-round development. He said that in these one and a half years, all the promises under "Modi Ki Guarantee" have been fulfilled. He said that today under various schemes, an amount of Rs 19.71 crore is being provided to 38 thousand 2 hundred workers and Rs 62 lakh to 31 students selected in the merit list. Shri Dewangan informed that under Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Shram Anna Yojana, full meals are being provided to the workers at Rs. 5 in 46 centres of 17 districts and in future it will be implemented in all the industrial districts. Along with this, information was also given about starting free coaching facility for the children of the workers.

The Labor Minister said that under the new industry policy, the rules for setting up industries have been simplified, which has increased investment and employment opportunities are being created for the youth.

Dr. Ram Pratap Singh, President of Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, said that with the resolve of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state is moving towards new heights of development. 31 public welfare schemes are being run in the state through the Mandal, which include schemes like Noni Empowerment, Mahtari Jatan, Shramik Siyaan Sahayata. He informed that the Mandal is providing health, education and financial assistance to 29.47 lakh registered workers of the state and their families. Workers can get their registration done at Shramev Jayate App, Public Service Center or Labor Office.

Noni Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana changed the lives of children of laborer families

During the program, the children benefited from the Chief Minister Noni Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana expressed their happiness and thanked Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. All the children said that they are from labourer and poor families, but this scheme gave them the opportunity to study. This scheme is giving new flight to the dreams of labourer families.

Heera Singh of Bhaiyathan in Surajpur district said that after completing B.Tech from IIIT, he has now become a junior data science developer. He got assistance of Rs 4.10 lakh from this scheme, which helped him complete his studies.

Similarly, B.Tech final year student Amalendra Pankra said that his family earns a living by doing labour and with the help of this scheme, they are able to pay the college fees.

Another student Deepak Pankra shared his struggle-filled journey from a small village in Surajpur to admission in IIIT, Raipur. Deepak told that he is paying the fees for his B.Tech studies through the scheme and he has received assistance of about Rs 4 lakh from the scheme.

Chief Minister Shri Sai wished all the children of Shramveers for a bright future.

The details of the schemes and the number of their beneficiaries and the amount are as follows

Under Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana, 1,915 workers were given Rs 3.83 crore, under Mukhyamantri Cycle Sahayata Yojana, 279 workers were given Rs 10.33 lakh, under Mukhyamantri Shramik Tool Sahayata Yojana, 6,319 workers were given Rs 2.19 crore, under Mukhyamantri Shramik Tool Sahayata Yojana, 12 workers were given Rs 94 thousand 800, under Mukhyamantri Naunihal Scholarship Yojana, 4,825 workers were given Rs 96.17 lakh, under Mukhyamantri Noni Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana, 155 workers were given Rs 37.63 lakh, under Mukhyamantri Nirman Shramik Longevity Sahayata Yojana, 2 workers were given Rs 40 thousand, under Mukhyamantri Nirman Mazdoor Safety Equipment Sahayata Yojana, 4,939 workers were given Rs 74.08 lakh, under Utkrisht Khel Protsahan Yojana for the children of construction workers, 1 worker was given Rs 50 thousand, under Didi E-Rickshaw Sahayata Yojana, 7 workers were given Rs 7 lakh Rs. 2.64 crore to 264 workers under Mukhyamantri Nirman Shramik Mrity and Divyang Sahayata Yojana, Rs. 4.97 crore to 2,486 workers under Mukhyamantri Noni Empowerment Sahayata Yojana, Rs. 74.40 lakh to 372 workers under Mukhyamantri Shramik Sian Sahayata Yojana, Rs. 2.00 crore to 15,066 workers under the scheme of assistance amount for free uniform and book copy for the children of construction workers, Rs. 25 lakh to 25 workers under Mukhyamantri Nirman Shramik Awas Sahayata Yojana. This initiative will play an important role in providing financial assistance to the construction workers of the state and their families and improving their standard of living.

On this occasion, Joint Secretary of Labor Department Dr. Fariha Alam, In-charge Labor Commissioner S.L. Jangde along with officers, employees and workers' families of Labor Department were present.
