The police have arrested a Bangladeshi couple who were living illegally in Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur for 16 years. The accused were living in a rented house in Dharamnagar.

The accused had made fake mark sheets, fake passports and other documents. The case is from Tikrapara area. Anti Crime and Cyber ​​Unit and Tikrapara Police Station have taken action in the case. Police are investigating other people regarding the accused. Police told in a press conference that the accused Dilawar Khan Thela was living illegally in Raipur for 16 years. He was earning his living by running a handcart. Police have seized mobile phones, fake passports, mark sheets, Aadhar cards and other documents from the possession of the accused.

A case has been registered against the accused in Tikrapara police station under crime number 437/25, sections 112, 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 3(5) BNS and section 12(B) of the Indian Passport Act 1967, section 3 of the Passport (Entry into India) Act 1920, section 14 of the Foreigners Act 1946.

His mobile phone, which has an Airtel SIM, on checking it was found that he was talking on a mobile number, which was a Bangladeshi mobile number as well as his elder sister’s number. Along with this, many other mobile numbers of Bangladesh were also saved in his phone under different names.

He used to run an egg cart

He travelled to Bangladesh from India four times. He came to India alone via Bangaon, the India-Bangladesh border, about 15 years ago. He came to India and started living in Raipur and after about 1-2 years he brought his wife Parveen Begum and one-year-old daughter to India and got passports made for both of them as well. During his stay in Raipur, he used to run an egg cart and got passports and documents prepared through customers coming to the cart.
