Plants planted under Clean India, Green India campaign
Jagdalpur:- On the occasion of World Environment Day, environment lovers planted trees at various places in the city. Along with planting the trees, the responsibility of their maintenance was also taken. Tree guards were also installed immediately so that stray animals do not harm the plants. Environment related slogans were also raised on Environment Day.
Mayor Sanjay Pandey reached Bhootha Talab located in Lalbagh Housing Board Colony in the morning. In the rain, the Municipal Corporation team, people of Swachhata Ambassador, colony residents, MIC members and councilors planted fruit and shade trees. Everyone took a pledge to save the environment. A cleanliness rally was also taken out to make the ward residents aware. On this occasion, Bharatiya Janata Party District President Ved Prakash Pandey, Corporation Speaker Khemsingh Devangan, MIC Member Nirmal Panigrahi, Laxman Jha, Sangram Singh Rana, Rana Ghosh, Councilor Kuber Devangan, Lokesh Chaudhary, Kishore Parikh, Vimlendra Shekhar Jha, HY Kukde, Ajay Pal Singh Jaswal, DK Parashar, Sanjay Chandrakar, Dharmendra Mahapatra, Mamta Singh Rana, Shiv Mishra, Ratan Vyas, Sampat Jha, Nisha Maurya, Rajiv Nigam, Atul Simha, Supriyo Mukherjee, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Praveen Kumar Verma and many others were present.
After this, tree plantation was done in the Revolutionary Debaridhur College and Research Center. Chief Guest Bastar MP Mahesh Kashyap, Special Guest Mayor Sanjay Pandey, Corporation Speaker Khemsingh Devangan, MIC Member Nirmal Panigrahi, Laxman Jha were present. Institution Head Dean Dr. GP Nag and staff welcomed the guests by applying tilak and performing aarti. After this, on the occasion of Environment Day, a pledge was taken to plant trees and develop and preserve them. At the end of the program, the guests were honored with shawls and plants. On this occasion, the staff of Krantik Debridhur Horticulture College and Research Center, RK Devangan, Bhagwat Kumar, Ishu Sahu, Ashish Anant, Rajshree Shukla, Amit Paikra, Doctor Sumit, Dr. Amit, Doctor Neha, Doctor Sanjay Singh, Doctor Trisla Sahu, Dr. Mamta Bhagat, Ms. Jyoti Thakur and all the employees of the college were present.
A tree plantation program was organized by the Forest Department in Pratapdev Ward. On this occasion, Mayor Sanjay Pandey, Corporation Speaker Khem Singh Devangan, Nirmal Panigrahi, Sangram Singh Rana, Narasimha Rao, Uma Mishra, Prakash Jha, Lal Mahavar, Sampat Jha Kishore Parikh, HY Kukde, Vimalendu Shekhar Jha, Virendra Joshi, Atul Simha, Vivek Jain, Sreesh Mishra, Mamta Rana, Lakshmi Kashyap, Jyoti Garg, Ranu Shukla, Anju Jha, Uttam Gupta etc. were present.
