Historic success due to the courage, valor and indomitable bravery of the soldiers – 27 Naxalites killed including General Secretary rank Maoist Basavaraju

Raipur, May 21, 2025-Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that the country has achieved its biggest success so far against Naxalism in a well-planned operation conducted by the security forces in Narayanpur district. 27 dreaded Maoists including CPI-Maoist General Secretary Nambala Keshav Rao alias “Basavaraju” have been killed in this operation.

He informed that the post of “General Secretary” is the highest in the Naxal organization and this is the first time in the last 30 years that such a high-level Maoist leader has been eliminated. This is the result of the courage, valor and indomitable bravery of our brave soldiers.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma said that this success is the result of the strong will and clear strategy of the Honorable Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah, under whose guidance the security agencies of the Center and the State are working with full dedication.

Congratulating all the security forces for this historic achievement, the Deputy Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government is moving rapidly towards the resolution of making the entire Chhattisgarh including Bastar and the country free from Naxalism by March 2026.
