Senior BJP leader of Bastar Srinivas Rao Maddi took over as Beverages Corporation Chairman

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Srinivas Rao Maddi took oath as the Chairman of Chhattisgarh Beverages Corporation on Saturday. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, who was present on the occasion, expressed confidence that during the tenure of Mr. Maddi as the Chairman of Beverages Corporation, this department will work with full honesty and transparency. It will play a role in increasing the revenue of the state. Targeting the Congress, Mr. Sai said that during the previous Bhupesh government of Congress, there was a scam of Rs 2,000 crore in liquor and many people including the then Excise Minister Kawasi Lakhma are in jail in this scam. Under the guidance of Mr. Maddi, scams and corruption will now be curbed and this work will be good as well as revenue will also increase.

The Chief Minister of the state, Shri Sai, while addressing the ceremony of taking charge of Shri Maddi at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium located in the Science College campus here on Saturday, congratulated and wished Shri Maddi for the new responsibility and said that Shri Maddi is an experienced person. He has experience of working on various posts. Apart from being the state minister of BJP, he has served as the Chairman of Chhattisgarh Forest Development Corporation. Prior to this, he has a long experience of working on many important posts including the Chairman of Bastar district. Shri Sai said that his government is now starting the process of recruitment to 200 posts in the Excise Department. The previous Bhupesh-government had committed a liquor scam by making fake holograms. Work is being done with complete transparency in the BJP government and will continue in the future too.

While congratulating the newly appointed Chairman of Beverages Corporation, Shri Maddi, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr. Raman Singh expressed confidence that Srinivas Maddi will discharge this responsibility with complete transparency. Dr. Singh said that Chief Minister Shri Sai has shown that the importance of corporations and boards is not less by participating in most of the programs of the swearing-in ceremony of the chairmen of the corporation and board. Dr. Singh said that Srinivas Maddi has enough experience due to which he has been made the Chairman of Beverages Corporation. Shri Maddi has a big challenge in front of him because the previous Congress government has done a liquor scam of Rs 2000 crore in the state in this department. The previous Congress government of the state has embezzled Rs 2000 crore from the liquor shops of Chhattisgarh by using fake holograms and selling fake liquor. Therefore, BJP has appointed an honest person to this post so that all the work can be done in a better way, government work gets speeded up and revenue income also increases a lot.

Madddi will brighten the image of the corporation: Kiran Dev

BJP State President Kiran Singh Dev while addressing the program congratulated the newly appointed Chairman of Beverages Corporation Srinivas Rao Maddi and said that this department is currently with Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. Mr. Maddi will lay a strong foundation for realizing the vision of developed Chhattisgarh by brightening the image of the corporation while discharging his responsibilities better. This department is very important from the point of view of development of Chhattisgarh.
