Taking action against illegal liquor in the district, the Excise Department seized 87.96 bulk liters

As per the instructions of the Excise Commissioner-in-Charge and Managing Director Shri Shyam Dhavade and Collector Shri Haris S, the Excise Department is continuously taking action against illegal liquor in the district. On May 30, the Excise Investigation Team seized 132 glass bottles of Kingfisher Premium Lager Beer (Quantity 85.80 bulk liters) manufactured in Odisha state and 12 pieces of Goa Special Whiskey manufactured in Chhattisgarh (Quantity 2.16 bulk liters) kept in a plastic membrane from the grocery shop of Baman Ram Vetti, resident of village Toir Sirhapara police station Mardoom, whose market value is Rs 25,200. A case was registered against the seized illegal liquor under sections 34(1)(a), 34(2), 36 and 59-a of the Chhattisgarh Excise Act, and the accused was arrested and sent to jail on judicial remand. The above action was carried out under the guidance of Excise Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ashish Kosam and District Excise Officer Mr. Aman Singh, under the leadership of Excise Sub-Inspector Mr. Ankit Singh Rathore, with special contribution of Excise Chief Constable Shiv Prasad Sinha, Constable Lalit Thakur, Shailesh Kumar Pandey and women municipal soldiers Sangeeta and Sangeeta Dhruv and vehicle driver Hemraj Baghel.
