Bihar News: Rebellion in Nitish Kumar’s JDU over ‘nepotism’ in Bihar, Patna Sahib in-charge resigns
Bihar News: After the formation of boards and commissions by the NDA government in Bihar, discontent has increased in JDU. Patna Sahib Assembly in-charge Navish Kumat Navendu has resigned alleging nepotism and ignoring merit.
Patna. After the formation of boards and commissions by the NDA government in Bihar recently, a wave of discontent has run in the Janata Dal (United). Especially the resignation of Patna Sahib Assembly in-charge Navish Kumat Navendu has created turmoil within the party. Navendu has expressed his displeasure on social media and has accused the boards and commissions of ignoring nepotism and merit. This matter can create new trouble for JDU just before the Bihar assembly elections.
In fact, the Nitish Kumar-led government made appointments in various boards and commissions, in which JDU, BJP, LJP (Ram Vilas), and HAM leaders and their relatives were given prominent positions. According to sources, these appointments include people like Ashok Kumar and Manoj Kumar Rishi. There is resentment among many JDU workers regarding these appointments, who have been working hard for the party for a long time, but did not get a chance.
Navendu, who was in charge of Patna Sahib Assembly, wrote in an emotional post on social media, “I worked day and night for the party, but family members were given preference in boards and commissions. Qualified workers were ignored. I am hurt by this and am resigning from my post. Opposition parties, especially RJD, immediately grabbed this issue. RJD said that nepotism is at its peak in JDU. This is the truth of Nitish ji’s good governance. He targeted the government by taking taunts like ‘Jamai Commission’.
This controversy has come to the fore at a time when political activities are in full swing in Bihar. Appointments in boards and commissions have always been a means of rewarding workers, but this time the allegations of nepotism have increased the difficulties of NDA, will Nitish Kumar be able to stop this internal rebellion, or will it spoil the electoral equation, only time will tell?
