Work towards making the surrendered Maoists self-reliant under the rehabilitation policy – Collector

03 June Collector Devesh Kumar Dhruv today reviewed the progress of development works, law and order, road safety and public welfare schemes of the district by holding a time-bound meeting in the Collectorate meeting room. Superintendent of Police Kiran Gangaram Chavan and departmental officers were present in the meeting.
Collector Shri Dhruv directed to resolve the pending cases of financial assistance and incentive amount given to the victims of surrendered Maoist-affected areas soon. He said that pending cases of government jobs should be resolved on priority under the rehabilitation policy. Along with this, concrete steps should be taken towards making the surrendered Maoist-affected youth self-reliant by arranging employment-oriented training like solar, plumbing etc. Collector Dhruv said that all the departments should work in mutual coordination and activeness, so that the citizens of the district can get proper benefits of the schemes and development works can be expedited.
➡️Security and law and order given priority
Superintendent of Police Kiran Gangaram Chavan said that employment is to be provided to surrendered Maoist affected youth by giving them training. Collector Shri Dhruv directed that video conferencing (VC) setup should be established for the implementation of new criminal law at identified places in the district. Instructions were also given to ensure strict action under NCERT and Kotpa Act.
➡️Focus on health, education and traffic management
The collector directed the officials of the health department to conduct fortnightly surprise inspection of the concerned institutions. He directed the school, college, social welfare department to effectively conduct the de-addiction campaign in mutual coordination. It was asked to ensure the safety of school children and safe transport system.
Under road safety, the Animal Husbandry Department and the CMO of urban bodies were directed to put radium belts on the horns of animals so that road accidents can be prevented. At the same time, instructions were also given to take strict action against vehicles without license and remove stray animals on NH. It was asked to give priority to the identification of black spots and improvement works of warning indicators.
Instructions were given to take action as per the announcements of the Chief Minister. The Collector instructed to mark bus routes to connect the interior areas under the Chief Minister Rural Bus Scheme. Along with this, instructions were also given to mark suitable places for infrastructure construction. Instructions were given to prepare and implement an action plan under Dharti Aba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan. Emphasis was laid on rationalization of teachers, review of revenue department and early resolution of pending cases of land allotment.
