Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma addressed the rally of Naxal-affected people

Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Bastar MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap also attended the program

Jagdalpur 3 June 2025/ Naxal-affected people of all the seven districts of Bastar organized a rally from Sirhasar Bhawan via Haata Ground to Sanjay Market to Shaheed Smarak Sirhasar Chowk on Tuesday, raising slogans like Naxalism Murdabad, Maoist violence will not work, Bastar’s development is needed, not Maoism, Kenja Naxal Manwa Mata, end communist terror. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma and Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap attended the closing ceremony of the rally.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that the government is with the Maoist-affected and dedicated people of Bastar region in every pain and suffering and the government is taking initiative with sensitivity for their proper rehabilitation. For rehabilitation, a better and effective rehabilitation policy is being prepared and implementation is being ensured. Maoism affected and dedicated persons can fill and submit application forms every Wednesday in all the Superintendent of Police offices of Bastar division so that the government can provide all possible help to all of them. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma was addressing the anti-Maoism rally of Maoism affected persons at Amar Jawan Sthal situated at the historic Sirhasar Chowk in Jagdalpur on Wednesday.

On this occasion, Forest Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap, while sharing his experience of Maoism persecution, said that the government is making committed efforts to help the Maoism affected persons and is taking meaningful initiatives to connect them to the mainstream of development by benefiting them with various schemes of the government.

Deputy Chief Minister, Forest Minister, MP Mr. Mahesh Kashyap, MLA Mr. Vinayak Goyal, Mayor Mr. Sanjay Pandey and other public representatives paid floral tributes at the Shaheed Smarak. Commissioner Mr. Doman Singh, IG Mr. Sundarraj P, Superintendent of Police Mr. Shalabh Sinha and other officials were present in the program. Deputy Chief Minister and Forest Minister interacted with the Naxal victims in the program and took cognizance of their problems and demands. The victims also shared their plight on the platform.
