Make meaningful efforts to connect drop out children to school – Collector Shri Haris S
Collector Shri Haris S said that meaningful initiatives should be taken to connect drop out children to school again in the district. Also, all children who are not attending school should be enrolled in school. In this direction, counseling of children and parents should be done by contacting door to door and cooperation of Panchayat officials should also be taken. Collector Shri Haris gave the above instructions during the review meeting of Aspirational District Bastar and Aspirational Block Tokapal Program in Prerna Sabhakaksha of the District Office on Saturday. He emphasized on focusing on bringing more than 60 percent result for 80 percent of the 10th and 12th students under the district in the upcoming academic session and directed to prepare an action plan for each school and ensure its implementation.
While reviewing the schemes marked in the aspirational area, the collector discussed about registration for ANC in the ADP report of the health department schemes, testing and treatment of pregnant women with severe anaemia, haemoglobin test of pregnant women, sex ratio, vaccination, testing and treatment of TB, institutional delivery, improvement of children weak from birth, and said that 100% vaccination should be ensured by targeting the children who have been left out for vaccination. He directed that random testing of pregnant women with severe anaemia should be conducted, especially in Darbha, Bastanar, Tokapal and Lohandiguda development blocks.
The collector directed to make entry in the Women and Child Development Department’s Nutrition Tracker App, to provide supplementary nutrition to weak children below 6 years of age, arrangement of drinking water, admission of children to Nutrition Rehabilitation Center with supplementary food based on beans and meam, review the status of toilets in Anganwadi Center and ensure their regular use. Apart from this, the transaction rate from primary level to upper primary school of the Education Department, the status of admission of boys and girls in high school, the status of drop outs, the status and use of toilets in schools were reviewed. He reviewed the status of micro irrigation of the Agriculture Department, cropping area of horticulture, the status of PM Crop Insurance Scheme, high level value crop, major crops of Kharif and Rabi crops including the status of soil health card supply. The collector asked to submit immediate proposals for selecting and training Gausevaks to ensure animal vaccination and artificial insemination of improved breed in bovine animals under the Animal Husbandry Department in the district. Also, he instructed to take the help of Pashu Sakhis in this work. Along with KCC, he instructed to provide the benefits of crop insurance to more people than the target. Whereas, the basic infrastructure related to other departments like connectivity of gram panchayats with Bharat Net, works of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana including Anganwadi Centre building, financial assistance to women self help groups under financial inclusion, provision of Mudra loan, status of banking outlets and other works were reviewed. On this occasion, CEO District Panchayat Shri Pratik Jain along with other district level officers of the concerned departments and officers related to the aspiring district and block were present.
